Licensing Expo, the world’s largest and most influential licensing industry event, was held again this year in Las Vegas. The event took place at the Mandalay Bay events center. It was a huge success with a large turnout of celebrities, vendors, and visitors from all over the world. Big brands were there to show off their latest products and tell Scene Magazine what's in store for their upcoming market. We interviewed one of the vendors at the booth representing the hit tv show “Say yes to the dress”. The person at the booth shared with me that they are extending their market by adding prom dressed to the line and to the show’s content. There were many appearances this year at the show, one being the popular Grumpy Cat who made an appearance earlier in the week and as their rep told me was nun to happy to appear. This year’s fashion seemed to be trending for a lot of vendors. We were particularly interested in the Dr. Who tv show display as they showed off a line inspired by the show.

Some of the other appearances to show up in Las Vegas was tv hit Jessica Blue, Senior Vice President, Licensing, UBM: "We are excited to have Jessie James Decker as the special guest performer and Sony Music as the co-host of Licensing Expo's Opening Night Party. Licensing and brand collaborations are the natural next step as musicians look to develop key partnerships that connect them with their fans. This is the world's largest licensing party and a must-attend event for the licensing industry."
